What is the Seychelles travel authorisation?
It is an electronic authorisation that visitors must obtain before departure. It allows you to travel to Seychelles; the visitor’s permit is issued by immigration on arrival.
How long does a decision take?
Processing time depends on the application and any additional checks. Apply once your flights and accommodation are confirmed so there is time to correct anything if needed.
How long may I stay?
The visitor’s permit issued on arrival can cover up to three months. It may then be extended through immigration, provided you continue to meet the entry conditions.
Do children need an authorisation?
Yes. Every traveller needs a separate authorisation, including children and infants who hold their own passport.
When should I apply?
For an arrival by air, the official guidance allows an application up to 10 days before the flight. Start once your flights and accommodation are confirmed and leave time for corrections.
What happens if my application is refused?
We explain the reason provided and the next steps available. Depending on the authorities’ decision, a new application may be required.
Does the authorisation replace a passport?
No. It comes in addition to a valid passport, which must cover the whole stay. No national identity card is accepted in place of the passport.
